Chapter 6- Out of the Frying Pan and into the Fire Bilbo escapes the Goblin tunnels and is not sure where the dwarves and Gandalf are located. Then Bilbo hears some noises and finds out that the noises were from the dwarves. Then Bilbo rejoins the party. Bilbo tells of how he escaped the Goblin tunnels and of his encounters with Gollum. While Bilbo is speaking, the party hears some noises and in a minute the party finds out that they are surrounded by wolves. The whole party climbs up the trees sheltering themselves from the wolves. Then Gandalf starts throwing pinecones with fire on them at the wolves. Then the party realizes that the wolves work wiht the goblins. The goblins come and light the trees on fire. Then luckily the Lord of the Eagles comes in to see what the commotion is about and they rescue the whole expedition. The eagles say that they can not go to the human villages because they will get shot by arrows. The eagles still give food to the party and drop them off at the Carrock. |
